Summaries
My first piece on the home page is an example of an assignment from my professional writing class. The assignment required us to analyze an infographic and summarize it in a memo for our professor. This was a weekly assignment we would do and this was one of my final ones. I analyzed an infographic for a comic book event on my college campus. The assignment also required us to analyze its effectiveness, if it included ethos, logos, or pathos.
The second is an article I wrote for my journalism internship with The Game Haus. I was tasked with covering the hockey team the Anaheim Ducks. This article in particular was about how the team had performed the first half of their season as well as what they needed to do to improve.
The third item is an article I also wrote for the same internship. It is about a former player of the Duck's Corey Perry who helped the team win their only championship. Returning to Anaheim after being traded to another team. The article lists his achievements with the team and why it is noteworthy he is playing against his former team.
The final article is another one from my internship. This time it was about Frank Vatrano who got voted to the all-star team. The article broke down his performance at the all-star game as well as the team he played for during the event. The article offers a breakdown of how the tournament went and who won.
